We have specialization in all the three branches of Chemistry at P.G. level. Post graduation in Inorganic and Organic Chemistry was sanctioned in the year 1964 when Dr. S.P. Gupta joined as Head of the Department. After sometime, physical chemistry at P.G. level was also sanctioned by the University Department of Chemistry is a Research Center since 1964.

The building comprises of two well equipped laboratories for B.Sc. classes and four for M.Sc. classes out of which one is for M.Sc. I and three for the specialized branches of M.Sc. II. Around sixty students have got their Ph.D degree in chemistry from this institution so far. Some of the faculty have got life membership of different chemical societies such as Indian Chemical Society, (Kolkata),Indian Council of Chemists (Agra) , Institution of Chemists (India), Acta Ciencia Indica (Meerut), National Academy of Science etc. All the teachers have their work published in reputed national and international journals.
